We began our free day in Chicago by going to the Shedd Aquarium. We were excited to see that the parking lot was mostly empty but were surprised with multiple school buses pulling up right as we were about to walk in. We loved seeing all of the animals and coming up with new SWE puns for the aquatic animals.

After the Aquarium, we went to Latinicity for lunch and then headed to Millenium Park where we took lots of pictures of ourselves and SWEet Caroline in front of the Bean (some of which are featured below!).

After our photos with the Bean we went to check out Maggie Daley Park per recommendation from Lindblom teachers. The park is a pirate-themed playground adjacent to Millenium Park. Though the park was recommended for ages 5-12 and some of the slides were still closed for the winter, we still had a lot of fun at the park.

Next we went to Bombobar - a walk-up window in Chicago’s West Loop known for their Bombolini (a holeless donut) and other desserts! Here we indulged in our bombolinis and gelato sandwiches (gelato inside a bombolini).

After indulging ourselves, we went to Mag Mile to check out the starbucks reserve and walk around a bit with a quick stop in TJ Maxx before dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe. Here we also gave out our paper plate awards and gifted Gayle the SWhale to Bryan.
We finished up the night by going up the John Hancock building for the 360Chicago experience. Some of us even did the TILT over Michigan Avenue!
